Sherrie Lynn Gore Obituary August 27, 1955 - October 6, 2024 Interment will be in Advance Cemetery. Sherrie was born and raised in Hattiesburg, MS, where she attended Oak Grove High School and went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from The University of Southern Mississippi. Throughout her life, Sherrie wore many professional hats, including those of a police officer, paralegal, and teacher. Sherrie recently retired from the St. Tammany Parish School System, where she made a significant impact as a Special Education Paraprofessional. Her dedication to helping others was unwavering. Sherrie was a devout Christian who found joy in serving her community and caring for animals. Sherrie was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Bill and Glenda Gore, and her brother, Gregory Gore. She is also reunited with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members who surely welcomed her home with open arms. She leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory: her children, Kevin Jordan (Amy) of Port Charlotte, FL; Jeremy Jordan (Aidan) of Rockwall, TX; Alexandria “Alex” Anderson (Josh) of Slidell, LA; and Brian Alfonso (Savannah) of Slidell, LA. Sherrie is also survived by her dear sisters, Renee Parker (Andy) of Hattiesburg, MS, and Kym Jones (Randy) of Pensacola, FL. As a cherished Nana, she will be deeply missed by her grandchildren: Peyton Williams (Alex), Shelby Jordan (Jeremy), Jonah Jordan (Kevin), Joey Jordan (Jeremy), Leticia Espada-Borges (Alex), Miley Jordan (Kevin), Lucy Jordan (Jeremy), Aya Anderson (Alex), and Kellan Alfonso (Brian). Sherrie’s legacy of love, kindness, and service will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at Hulett-Winstead Sumrall Chapel.
